Happy Birthday Aron and Jodi!

Sorry for the lack of a post yesterday. It was due to a lack of excitement. I still was not feeling well so we stayed inside most of the day, but I took Isaac for a walk down Victoria Street and to St. James Park. There are lots of shops and lots of activity on Victoria Street.

Although we left Kansas City 8 days ago we have been in London for a full week today. In some respects it feels like longer than a week. It feels similar to when Isaac was born. I hesitate to compare anything to the birth of a child which is unlike any other experience, but bear with me. When Isaac was born there was so much activity and life completely changed in a matter of a day. The first week of his life, although it was still just one week; 168 hours, there were times when it felt like months had passed. This experience is similar because we are out of our comfort zone and everything is so new. It's difficult to try to maintain some normalcy yet still attempt to adapt to an unfamiliar environment. But we do our best and keep going. It's probably hardest for Isaac who doesn't understand why his surroundings have changed and why everyone talks funny.

As you can see from the Title of this post today is Aron's birthday! He's thirty-mpmmdp today! It is also my sister, Jodi's birthday. Happy Birthday to you both!
We're probably not doing much to celebrate except go out to dinner.
Tomorrow we are going to attempt to make it to Church Services. Aron has been studying to underground map and with the advice of his co-worker we WILL get there. That is determination! If all else fails we can always grab a cab to take us there, but I think we'll find our way okay using the underground and train. Aron uses the underground everyday to get to work and is doing great with it. There have only been a couple times that he's gotten turned around, but he's doing better than I would.

Isaac is taking his afternoon nap now. Hopefully I wore him out. We went to St. James Park again and he ran around in the grass and harassed any poor pigeon that came near. On our way home we stopped by Tesco grocery store and picked up some food for the weekend.
Love to you all!
